How we help
Direction. Accountability. Better decisions.
You don't have to run your business alone.
Established business owners don't need more noise, or another complicated framework. They need clarity about where they're going, accountability around what matters, and experienced challenge when the important decisions arrive.
The simple rhythm
No complicated methodology — three straightforward questions
Worked through at the right rhythm, together they cover direction, focus and decisions.
-
Strategic Planning
"Where are we going?"
Working out what you actually want from the business, and what it needs to look like to give you that.
-
Quarterly Accountability
"Are we doing what we said we'd do?"
Reviewing progress honestly, and agreeing the next 90 days of priorities.
-
Monthly Decision Support
"What decisions do we need to make?"
Working through the important decisions, challenges and opportunities that come with running a business.
Where it starts
Build a business that works for you.
There's no universal definition of a better business.
For one owner, success might mean growth and an eventual sale. For another, it might mean a strong income, fewer working days and more time with family. The first job is understanding what you genuinely want the business to provide — then everything else is built around that.
Direction and alignment
Strategic Planning
The starting point for ongoing MBS Coaching support. Not a fixed, perfect plan — just enough direction to give your priorities and decisions real context. For businesses with several owners or directors, it also helps you align around what you collectively want the business to become.
- What do you actually want?
- What does the business need to look like to provide it?
- Where are you now?
- What's getting in the way?
- What needs to be true over the next 12 months?
- What matters most over the next 90 days?
Ongoing support
What problem are you trying to solve?
Both start with Strategic Planning. From there, the right support depends on the problem in front of you.
Quarterly Accountability
£150/ month
"I just never seem to make consistent progress."
Every quarter, we pause, look back honestly at what actually got done, check the evidence, and agree a small number of priorities for the next 90 days. The principle is simple: pause, reflect, refocus, recommit.
Quarterly Accountability keeps the owner moving.
Monthly Decision Support
£450/ month
"I feel alone when the important decisions arrive."
Every month, a 90-minute Decision Meeting works through the biggest decisions actually facing the business — the evidence, the assumptions, the realistic options, and what happens if nothing changes. Every meeting ends the same way: what decision are you avoiding? Significant decisions between meetings can get a short Decision Call, once a Decision Confidence Planner has been completed.
Monthly Decision Support helps the owner decide where to move.
Leadership teams
More than one person around the table?
Not every business is run by one owner. When several directors or senior leaders are involved, the challenge can look different — competing opinions, different ambitions, unresolved issues, meetings that drift, and difficult conversations that never quite happen. MBS can provide independent challenge and facilitate the conversation, helping owner-managed leadership teams get aligned, make deliberate decisions and leave knowing what happens next.
Why MBS
Coaching backed by financial evidence.
MBS isn't here simply to motivate you. Our team has a genuine financial and commercial background, and we use it to improve the quality of the questions — not to act as your finance director.
- What does the evidence say?
- What are we assuming?
- What happens if we do nothing?
- What aren't we seeing?
- Is this moving you towards what you actually want?
Better businesses aren't built by perfect decisions. They're built by informed ones.
